This is how Amazon sent me a NEW 6700k… Got it today(r/pcmasterrace)
If you notice the name of the product on amazon you would know you got the real deal and not a used CPU. This is a brand new item … packaged somewhat poorly though.
I know it is a bit confusing, but let me explain it.
The image you posted here showing the cpu you ordered on amazon. Clearly shows this is a tray cpu… granted that it only has tra on the end of the title, likely cut off or a typo. The title of the processor is in English so I knew exactly what was going on the second I saw your second image you posted here imgur.com/YDfBJVT
And seeing how I found a similar cpu on amazon explaining it is a tray cpu Link
Okay so what is a tray CPU is what you maybe asking OP… well see when CPUs are OEM or ordered in Bulk to save money they are sent out in trays like this. You see most companies can’t reuse these trays to send out individual CPUs so it is up to them to figure out packaging.
They should have put the single cpu in a cpu holder but didn’t. I just want you to understand you sent back a brand new CPU because you didn’t like that it came in a bag… without even testing it for functionality.
EDIT: I would understand if you send it back because it was damaged in transit because of packaging, but you didn’t say that and seem to imply it was used cpu.
