The CIS(Continuous Ink System) consists of a high-capacity ink reservoir (same as using between 8 ~ 10 ink cartridges per color) that is attached to a cartridge via secure tubing. CIS stands for continuous ink system. They are cheap, generally easy to install if you follow the instructions, and work fantastically at saving you money.

I have an Epson artisan 710 with a CIS system that I’ve been using for 3 years and have yet to refill it once. It was about 40 bucks and came full of ink. Before that I was paying $85 just for one set of high capacity 098 epson ink cartridges that lasted about a month each… I print all my stickerish envelopes and instruction sheets constantly, as well as art prints for my wall with stunning quality. I’ll take a pic of some prints I did last week when I get home.

Edit: Here’s the one I have. Looks like the price went up from when I bought it but, its still worth every penny
